This year, along with a dues statement and officer election ballot, WTGS members will also be asked to vote on proposed changes to the bylaws, as explained below by President Elect Tim Hunt.

 The Editor of the West Texas Geological Society (WTGS) Bulletin and other communication sources has become an important provider of service to the WTGS membership. In order for the Bulletin to be published accurately and efficiently, it has become apparent that communications between the editor and the executive committee should be frequent, consistent and formal. Therefore, the WTGS executive committee is proposing the creation of an Editor in Chief position to serve as a member of the executive committee. The new position requires changes to the WTGS bylaws as indicated below. All changes are indicated in a larger font than the existing language. Additions are also underlined and deletions are struck through. The WTGS bylaws are provided in their entirety for reference and context.
