WTGS Family Picnic

Ulmer City Park

Come on out and enjoy yourself with good food and fun fellowship at this year’s WTGS Family Picnic on Saturday July 26th.  This year we are inviting the Society of Petroleum Engineers and their families to join us

The picnic will be at Ulmer City Park, located at 2700 W. Kentucky Ave. The park is nestled between Wall Street and Front Street approximately 5 blocks southwest of Dennis the Menace Park. We will be cooking and eating under the pavilion closest to Clark Street.

We will get started around 4 pm and go until 8pm. The park offers a softball field and sand volleyball courts for those who are adventurous enough to brave the heat. If that sounds like too much running around, there will also be some horse shoes available. We will provide the horseshoes and volleyballs but if you want to play softball bring your own gear.

We will also be bringing back the popular “Homemade Ice Cream Contest”. If you think you got what it takes to make the best homemade ice cream then “Bring it, don’t Sing it.”….I really mean bring it, bring your makers, your ingredients and make your best batch of homemade ice cream. This year’s winner will be decided by popular vote. Everyone will get a chance to vote for their favorite ice cream. One vote per person, the one with the most votes wins. There will be great prizes for 1st, 2nd, and 3rd.

This event is free, so we hope to see you and your family there.
